Day 1: Welcome to Mexico!

Your adventure begins the moment you land at Benito Juárez International Airport. Our CLIPPED team will greet you and take you to your hotel in the vibrant Colonia Roma district. That evening, we’ll gather for a Welcome Dinner—your first taste of Mexico’s world-class cuisine and the perfect chance to connect with your fellow riders.

Day 2: Mexico City to Bernal
We start strong with a ride to the Otomí Ceremonial Center, a stunning site that sets the tone for what’s ahead. From there, we roll into Bernal, one of Mexico’s famous “Magic Towns,” nestled at the foot of the Sierra Gorda.

Day 3: Puerta del Cielo
“The Door to Heaven” lives up to its name. This iconic climb will test your legs but reward you with views that feel otherworldly. A truly unforgettable ride, followed by another cozy night in Bernal.

Day 4: Sierra Gorda Loop – Queen Stage
The big one. Today’s loop through the Sierra Gorda is a test of strength and grit. It’s tough, it’s epic, and it will stay with you forever. End the day with tacos, pool time, and stories from the saddle.

Day 5: Recovery Ride to San Miguel de Allende
Time to shift gears. We ride easy into San Miguel de Allende, a UNESCO World Heritage gem. Wander the colorful streets, savor authentic taquerías, or recharge by the pool. This day is all about balance.

Day 6: El Corazón de México Ride
A big day—long, scenic, and packed with history. From San Miguel to Dolores Hidalgo (the cradle of independence) and onward to Guanajuato, El Corazón de México. Expect narrow alleys, vibrant plazas, and a ride that blends cycling with living history.

Day 7: San Miguel Loop
Our Sierra Gorda journey wraps with a beautiful loop around San Miguel de Allende—a ride as charming as the town itself. A perfect finale before heading back to Mexico City.

Day 8: Farewell Ride – Mexico City
One last loop, this time around Mexico City, to experience why locals are so passionate about cycling here. In the evening, we’ll celebrate with a Farewell Dinner—raising a toast to new friends and unforgettable rides.

Day 9: Departure Day
CLIPPED will handle your transfer and bike pack so you can travel stress-free. Though the adventure ends here, the memories, friendships, and climbs you’ve conquered will ride with you forever.

What weather can I expect during the tour?
Ecuador is known as the country of eternal spring. In that sense, the weather is unpredictable, it can be sunny and warm one day and cloudy and rainy the next. Despite this, you can expect temperatures not less than 50 degrees nor more than 80.
At what height will the tour take place?
The average elevation at which we will ride most of the time is 5,900 feet; however, the last stage reaches 9,000 feet above sea level.
Can height affect me?
CLIPPED has developed the tour with a progressive increase in height and with rest days with the aim that cyclists adapt to the height in the best way; however, each person reacts to altitude differently. We have support vehicles that monitor cyclists permanently and can provide support if necessary.
Should I bring food for the route?
CLIPPED will provide you with everything you need (gels, bars, isotonic drinks, etc.). Your only concern should be ride and enjoy.
Does the cost of the tour include bicycle rental?
The tour cost does not include bicycle rental; however, this is a unique adventure and we recommend that you experience it alongside the apple of your eye. CLIPPED will take care of assembling and disassembling it at no additional cost. If you wish to rent a bicycle, please contact us.
After the tour I want to explore Ecuador. Where can I store my bike?
CLIPPED can store your bike at no cost. Get in touch with us to coordinate the details.
I want to bring a companion on the tour; however, they won't be cycling. Can I do that?
For an additional price you can bring a companion; however, it is subject to the availability of the hotels.
